Retail (non food) Sales Data

The Raine & Horne Business Sales Database infers that South Australia is substantially a retail and service state. Non-food retail sales, therefore, are a substantial part of our database. Our data illustrates that in the 10 years prior to the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) the values in this sector had increased substantially but since the GFC values have increased only marginally. In the last 10 years this trend has continued with only a marginal increase but these have been offset by increased operating costs. The sales in this sector are still quite strong and there are pockets of prosperity and growth.
