Metta Sol was established by two childhood friends in 2018 who wanted to create a plant-based and sustainable dining experience to Adelaide.
The licensed restaurant, located on Goodwood road, just minutes from the Adelaide CBD, has a bright modern interior with white walls, beautiful arched windows, tiled floor, and plants galore, seating 20 people inside, and 5 people outside. There is a carpark at the rear of the building, and a storeroom located across the carpark.
The 100% plant-based and all natural menu is influenced by the vendors’ Vietnamese heritage with Asian and Australian flavours, and a mix of bright colours. The menu includes salads, sandwiches, crepes, gnocchi, dumplings, curries, and delicious desserts with a selection of wines, cocktails and other beverages to choose from.
Metta Sol employs a total of 6 staff, made up of one full time, one part time, and 4 casuals.
The vendors each work approximately 20 hours per week, with one vendor working as a Chef and the other in a Front of House capacity. This business could easily be run by one full time working owner.
